Fran in Poughquag, NY reached out knowing it was time for a roof replacement. During the planning process, we reviewed the condition of the existing roof and discussed several upgrades to enhance both protection and airflow. Our crew removed the old roofing system, inspected the decking, and replaced damaged plywood as needed before moving forward. As part of the project, we installed a customer-provided sun tunnel to bring more natural light into the home, along with new eave ventilation to improve attic airflow. After properly sealing and preparing the roof, we finished the installation with new shingles in Granite Black. The result was a clean, updated roof with improved ventilation and long-term protection. The Klaus Roofing Way!

Kevin in Armonk, NY had been dealing with leaks whenever heavy rain hit, despite his roof only being 10 years old. Rather than continuing to patch the issue, he decided it was time for a full solution. He reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing, and we provided a full roof replacement along with brand-new gutters to ensure his home stays protected for years to come. With our high-performance VeloraOne Roof Underlayment and SealoronXT Ice & Water barrier, Kevin’s new roof is built to withstand the elements. Topped with durable IKO Dynasty shingles, his home now has the best protection against leaks, wind, and weather damage. Plus, with new gutters in place, rainwater will properly drain away from the foundation, preventing future issues. Now, Kevin can have peace of mind knowing his home is secure no matter the forecast!
Boris in Armonk contacted us after experiencing issues with a skylight that had begun leaking despite the roof itself being only a couple of years old. During our evaluation, it became clear that the previous installation had several concerns, including reused flashing components and roof penetrations that should have been replaced when the roof was installed.
Rather than replacing the entire roof, the focus of this project was correcting the skylight installation and ensuring the surrounding roofing materials were properly integrated. Our team removed the existing skylights and installed two new Velux M06 solar-powered venting skylights, each equipped with white room-darkening blinds for added convenience, comfort, and energy efficiency.
To ensure a watertight installation, new flashing systems were installed around both skylights and the surrounding roofing area was carefully rebuilt. Additional GAF Timberline Williamsburg Slate architectural shingles were woven into the existing roof around each skylight opening to create a seamless transition and maintain the appearance of the roof while providing proper protection against water intrusion.
With the new skylights and flashing systems in place, Boris now has a properly integrated solution that addresses the leak concern while improving natural light, ventilation, and overall performance of the roofing system.
