Before Replacement
Carl's existing roof was showing signs of wear despite being only about 15 years old. Soft areas in the roof deck and nails backing out of the shingles indicated that the roofing system was beginning to fail. While some issues were visible from the ground, others would only become apparent once the old roof was removed. These conditions made a full roof replacement the best long-term solution for the home.
Protecting Your Home
Before work began, our crew carefully prepared the property to help protect the home and surrounding areas during the installation. Tarps and protective coverings were placed around the house to catch debris created during the tear-off process. Extra care was taken around existing features such as the LeafGuard gutters and nearby LP tank. Proper preparation helps keep the project organized and minimizes disruption to the homeowner.
Rotted Plywood
Once the old roofing materials were removed, sections of the roof deck that had weakened over time became visible. Areas of damaged and softened plywood were removed and replaced with new decking to create a solid foundation for the new roof. Addressing these underlying issues is an important step in the roofing process. A strong roof starts with a strong deck beneath it.
Seals Installed
With the decking complete, the next phase focused on building the new roofing system. Protective roofing materials were installed to help create multiple layers of defense against moisture and the elements. Each component was carefully applied before the shingles were installed above. These layers work together to support the overall performance of the roof.
Final Roof
The finished roof features IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving the home a bold and updated appearance. The new roofing system provides dependable protection while enhancing the property's curb appeal. Matching black roof-edge details help create a clean, cohesive look across the home. With the project complete, Carl's home is ready for years of reliable performance.
