Before Roof Replacement
This photo shows the condition of the roof before the roof replacement. Paulito was unsure of the age of the roof, but with its aged and weathered shingles, it was time for a replacement.
Stripping The Roof
The first step is setting up protective tarps around the home to shield the siding, windows, and landscaping from debris. Once everything is covered, the crew begins removing the old shingles and carefully inspects the roof deck. Any damaged or weakened plywood is replaced to create a solid foundation before installing the new roofing system.
Applying The Seals
Next comes sealing the roof. We install three key layers to fully protect the home from moisture. First, SealoronXT Ice & Water is applied along all roof edges and other vulnerable areas to prevent leaks. Then, SealoronXT Deck Tape is installed over every seam in the plywood to block water from getting between the boards. Finally, VeloraONE Roof Underlayment is laid across the rest of the roof, covering the deck tape and creating a strong, continuous barrier that helps keep the entire system watertight.
Final IKO Dynasty Shingles
Lastly, the finished result! Paulito chose IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving the home a sharp, updated look. In this final photo, you can see the completed roof along with two Perma-Boots and clean chimney flashing, with the roof cricket installed between them to help direct water away from this area. Everything works together to keep the roof protected and performing the way it should.
