When our sales reps came to this home, the roof was so wavy that it looked like you could go surfing on it. A house in Chester, New York has an attached townhouse, the roofs are not connected. This house had to use GAF weathered wood shingles. The house has three vent hoods and one vent pipe, the house also has a ridge vent, without a chimney. The house was built in 2001 and had the original roof still. The plywood was still in great condition! 

Klaus Larsen Roofing of Hudson Valley completed a partial roof replacement this week in Newburg, New York. The area that was replaced were the breezeway and half of the garage, the rest of the house has already been replaced. The house's garage was leaking and had 3 layers of shingles.

Klaus Larsen Roofing of Hudson Roofing removed all existing gutters & downspouts from the rear and front of the house, and installed new 5” white aluminum seamless gutters. We also removed the bottom two courses of vinyl from both areas between the garage doors, to expose the concrete and achieve a uniform siding height across all four sections.

Algae and moss were making into the seams between a 3-Tab shingles, which do not overlap like the architectural style that we work with. We recycled the old shingles, by sending them off to be processed into road asphalt. The underlying structure which the roof is supported by, otherwise called the decking, was refreshed with new CDX plywood. To prevent any stealth leaking we also re-flashed a medium sized chimney.
